Celebrating a Resounding Success: The Optime Community Cup 2025 Concludes!
The Optime Community Cup has concluded its fantastic run, successfully uniting the aviation industry through a series of exciting 5-a-side football tournaments across the UK! Following intense regional competitions in Gatwick, Heathrow, and Manchester, the anticipation concluded in a spectacular grand finale on the iconic rooftop football Hotel football pitch in Manchester, overlooking Old Trafford.
The regional tournaments were filled with excitement, showcasing passionate displays of skill and camaraderie. Teams battled fiercely, creating unforgettable moments and building strong connections within the industry. The top contenders emerged, setting the stage for a thrilling showdown in Manchester.
The grand finale, held on a beautiful sunny day on Thursday 3rd April 2025, saw the final four teams – ABM, British Airways Euroflyer, Dnata, and MAG (Airports Group) – compete to be the ultimate champion. After a hard-fought series of matches, Turbulence from MAG (Airports Group) emerged as the champions, triumphing over their worthy opponents. The spirit of competition and sportsmanship was outstanding throughout the day.

The ultimate prize for the winning team, Turbulence, was a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to play against football legends from the Class of ’92! Gary Neville, Nicky Butt, and Paul Scholes graced the pitch, creating an unforgettable experience for the MAG team and all in attendance.
