Optime Community Cup

The Optime Community Cup is in full swing, bringing together aviation professionals from across the UK in an exhilarating 5-a-side football tournament. Launched by Optime Group, this competition fosters industry camaraderie and provides a unique opportunity to connect through the power of sport.

Three thrilling tournament days have already taken place at Gatwick, Heathrow, and Manchester, setting the stage for the highly anticipated grand finale. Over 35 teams and approximately 280 players from leading aviation businesses have participated, showcasing their talent, enthusiasm, and spirit of collaboration.

Highlights:

• Regional Tournaments: Successful tournaments held at Gatwick, Heathrow, and Manchester.
• Participating Companies: Participating Companies: Teams from ABM Aviation, ASC, British Airways Euroflyer, DHL, Dnata, Ethos Farm, Ground Handling International, Heathrow Airport, Manchester Airport Group (MAG), Menzies Aviation, Optime, Red Handling UK, Swissport, Virgin Atlantic, and Wilson James.
• Grand Finale: Scheduled for Thursday 3rd April 2025, at the Hotel Football rooftop pitch in Manchester.
• Ultimate Prize: The winning team will play a once-in-a-lifetime match against the legendary Class of ’92.
• Finalists: British Airways Euroflyer, Dnata, Heathrow Airport and MAG have secured their places in the final.
• Industry Connection: The tournament has fostered strong relationships and sportsmanship within the aviation community.
